If you purchased our iPad Dock & Stand model MD818i and a brand new SSD, but the SSD is not recognized after inserting it into the product, please do not worry, please follow the steps below:

1. First, you need to confirm that your SSD is compatible with the product. Generally speaking, SSDs with NVMe protocol are compatible with this product. The SSD slot on this product supports SSD sizes 2230/2242/2260/2280.

Please note: SSD with SATA protocol will not be supported by this product. If you are not sure whether your SSD has the NVMe protocol or the SATA protocol, please refer to the SSD brand's official website or contact us and we will confirm it for you.

2. If you purchased a brand new SSD or your SSD has been used on a Windows system before, but it cannot be recognized after being inserted into the product, you need to initialize it or reformat it so that it can be recognized on iOS/iPadOS. Please note that you need a Mac or Windows to perform this step.
