How do I know if a USB-C Adapter is compatible?

1. To confirm if the device has OTG function:

USB OTG enables devices to switch between host and device roles.
For example, a mobile phone may read from removable media as the host device, but appear as a USB Mass Storage Device when connected to a host computer. (source: Wikipedia)

2. To confirm if the USB-C device has video out function through the USB-C port:

Check for the following logos printed beside the interface:

1. USB 3.1 Gen 1 + Display: Supports video display function with a maximum transfer rate of up to 5Gb/s.
2. USB 3.1 Gen 2 + Display: Supports video display function with a maximum transfer rate of up to 10Gb/s.
3. Thunderbolt 3: Provides up to 40Gbps bandwidth and supports simultaneous data and video signal transmission. Look for the lightning symbol next to the Thunderbolt 3 interface.
4. Check the device's official website for SPEC information to confirm if the USB-C port supports video signal transmission or DP Alt mode.
