How to resolve the HDMI of Display 3 not working of the MD6950D Minisopuru DisplayLink Docking Station?

If you are using the Minisopuru DisplayLink Docking Station, model MD6950D, and are experiencing that the HDMI port of Display 3 on the Dock is not working correctly. Please don't worry, please follow the troubleshooting steps below to try to solve it:

Please note that this troubleshooting only applies when only the HDMI 3 port on the MD6950D is not working. If other ports are not working at the same time, please contact support@minisopuru.com for support.

Here are the troubleshooting steps:

1. Since the Display 3 port of MD6950D runs in DP Altmode, please make sure to use the USB-C cable that comes with the Dock to connect the Dock to your computer.

The USB-C cable included with the Dock is a full-featured USB Type C cable that supports DP Altmode video output. So make sure to use the USB-C cable that comes with the Dock.

2. Since the Display 3 port of MD6950D runs in DP Altmode, the USB C port of your computer needs to also support DP Altmode for Display 3 to work.

Most USB-C ports of MacBook, Mac Mini, and iMac released in recent years support DP Altmode. If you are not sure whether your Mac or Windows USB-C port supports DP Altmode, please check their official website, or contact us and we will check it for you.

3. Please try swapping HDMI cables to see if it helps. Please note that we recommend using HDMI 2.0 and above HDMI cables. At the same time, we do not recommend the use of adapter cables, such as DP to HDMI cables.

4. If your monitor has multiple HDMI ports, try connecting the HDMI cable to a different HDMI port on the monitor to see if that helps.

5. If the Display 3 port on the MD6950D works fine at first but fails to work after a period of use, it is possible that the included USB-C cable is faulty. Please try using a different USB-C cable (make sure the cable you use supports DP Altmode video output) to connect the Dock to your computer and see if that helps.

6. If the Display 3 port on the MD6950D works fine at first and is not resolved after the above troubleshooting, it is possible that the Display 1 port on the Dock itself is faulty. Please contact us support@minisopuru.com and we will provide you with a replacement.
