The built-in benchmark tool allows you to compare CPU performance before and after overclocking, and then compare it with scores from other overclockers online. You can also import and apply settings from other users through the “Profiles” tab.
A built-in CPU stress test enables users to check stability and system temperatures under their overclock settings. Intel® Turbo Boost Technology
Intel® Turbo Boost Technology is a CPU optimization tool that is automatically enabled without any user installation or configuration. Many Intel® CPUs include Intel® Turbo Boost Technology 2.0. Unlike Intel® XTU, it does not require an unlocked processor to function.
Intel® Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 dynamically increases the speed of a CPU under heavy workloads. It temporarily boosts the clock speed beyond the normal operating frequency, up to the Max Turbo Frequency, to handle the demands of CPU-intensive software.
However, Intel® Turbo Boost Technology does not always reach the Max Turbo Frequency. Factors such as CPU temperature, power consumption, and the number of cores already in use can affect the maximum safe speed of your processor.
While most Intel® CPUs use Intel® Turbo Boost Technology 2.0, some processors feature Intel® Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0. This builds on the capabilities of 2.0 by speeding up the fastest cores and directing critical workloads to them.
