I cannot use monitors when the laptop is connected to a Displaylink Docking Station with the laptop lid closed. How should I solve this problem?

First make sure you have properly connected the Dock to your Macbook and your monitor to the Dock. And please make sure you have successfully installed the Displaylink driver to ensure the Dock is working properly.

1. Please find the "Power save all displays and sleep in clamshell" option in Displaylink Manager and uncheck it, as shown in the image below. Then it should work. (If it is unchecked, please do not check it)

2. If you have unchecked "Power save all displays and sleep in clamshell" in Displaylink Manager, but still cannot use the monitors with the MacBook lid closed. Please plug your MacBook's power adapter into the PD port on the Dock, or plug your Macbook's power adapter into your Macbook. (Please note that you need to plug the Macbook power adapter into the power outlet and then plug the USB-C end into the Dock or Macbook)

If you need to use the Dock to power/charge your MacBook or to use the monitor with the lid closed, please connect the MacBook's power adapter to the PD port on the Dock, as shown in the picture below. The black USB-C cable comes with the Dock and is used to connect the ToHost port on the Dock to your Macbook. The white USB-C cable is your Macbook power adapter. Please connect the cables as shown in the picture.

And now you can use monitors when the laptop is connected to a Displaylink Docking Station with the laptop lid closed.
